The core loop is free.

Capture, understand, and review — free, for up to 200 saved words and 10 in-context explanations a day. Pro lifts both ceilings. Everything you save stays readable, reviewable, and exportable — always, even on Free.

§ 01 — Free vs Pro
Free
  • ·Capture (OCR + clipboard)
  • ·The full word explanation — meaning + POS, senses, pronunciation
  • ·The system-Dictionary handoff
  • ·Word Book + FSRS review
  • ·Cross-device sync + the phone review companion (coming)
  • ·Anki / CSV export

Up to 200 saved words · 10 in-context explanations a day.

Pro — $6/mo or $48/yr
  • ·Unlimited saved words — no ceiling on your library
  • ·Unlimited in-context explanations — the word as used in your sentence, any time

Save 33% on annual. Everything you've already saved stays yours — even if you stay on Free.

§ 02 — Why this split

The word explanation is generated once and shared with everyone, so its cost doesn't grow with use — that's why it's free and unlimited. Pro is for the two things that scale with you: your library — the corpus you build is the part that compounds over months — and the in-context explanation, unique to your sentence and generated per use. The capture → review loop itself never sits behind a subscription.

§ 03 — Reaching a free ceiling

Reach 200 saved words, or the day's 10 in-context explanations, and nothing you've saved is touched— capture, the word explanation, your Word Book, review, and export all keep working. A new capture past 200 is held for you until you upgrade or remove a saved word to make room (never lost); the in-context limit resets at your account's local midnight. Pro removes both.

Our stance: the loop stays free

Pro prices the part that compounds — an unlimited library and unlimited in-context — not the capture → understand → review loop. It's $6 a month, or $48 a year (save 33%), and you upgrade inside the app. Cancel anytime; your saved words stay yours either way.
